How to make anyone can find your Facebook profile

Facebook has quickly become a social networking website that allows millions of people to connect with new and old friends. If you have a small network, consisting only of close friends and family, you may want to avoid having your profile appear in random Facebook searches. This will prevent search engines and Facebook users who are not your friends from indicating and finding your profile. It also offers privacy options that allow you to quickly modify who can find you on Facebook.

Step 1

Log in to your Facebook account using your email address and password.

Step 2

Click on the “Account” link at the top right of the Facebook page. Click on the “Privacy Settings” menu.

Step 3

Click on “View settings” that appears under the heading “Connect on Facebook.”

Step 4

Find the section called “Who can find you on Facebook.” Click on the drop-down box on the right and click on the “Friends Only” option. This will make your profile can not be searched by anyone who is not your friend.

How are the main followers determined on Facebook?

The social networking website Facebook allows registered users to make online connections with each other, an action called adding friends. Your Friends List is attached to your Facebook profile, accessible by clicking on the “Friends” tab in the left-hand column on your profile page. In this area, three different types of Facebook friends are published, whom you might think of as followers: your partner, your family members and your friends. These main followers are determined by several factors.

Family

The next way you can specify which individuals appear on your Facebook profile is by adding family members. You can also access this item by clicking on the “Friends and family” tab when you edit your profile. You can add your children, your parents, siblings, aunts, uncles and anyone with whom you are related.

friends

A sample of your Facebook friends also appears on the left side of your profile. By default, this sample is added based on Facebook users with whom you interact more. This sample takes into account only public interactions, such as comments on the users’ wall or Facebook events that they both attended, and not private interactions, such as a personal message sent using Facebook. This sample changes, so you may not see the same friends listed in that location each time you visit your profile page.

Featured friends

Facebook also allows you to add specific friends in the column on the left side of your profile. To do this, click on the “Edit profile” button in the upper right corner of your profile, then on the “Friends and family” tab on the left side. At the bottom of the page there is a section called Featured Friends and below it there are two links. The first link says “Create a new list”, while the second says “Add an existing list or group”. By clicking on any of these links, you can add friends to a new or existing list, then choose to have that list of friends appear on your Facebook profile.

Organize featured friends

Facebook also allows you to accommodate the order in which your Featured Friends appear on your profile. While your relationship will always appear at the top of this section, unless you are not in a relationship, or have not specified a partner, you can rearrange the order of your family lists, friends, and featured friends. At the bottom of the Friends and Family section of your profile edit page, click on one of these groups and drag them to the position you want. Click on the “Save changes” button at the bottom of the page to save your configuration.

How to locate people on Facebook

Facebook is a tool used to find people and connect with old and new friends. It is a social application created not only for the younger generations but also for the older generations. It can be difficult to navigate on Facebook being a new user, but the first thing you need to do is locate known people and add them as friends on the web. In this way, you will be able to create your network, find more people and add more people to your list of friends. Facebook is great to find someone with whom you have lost contact.

Step 1

Sign up for Facebook. This will take you to the main page, where there is a search box in the upper right. Logging into Facebook will allow you to use all the tools on the website. If you are not registered, the results of your searches will be limited and you will not be able to see your friends, access their profiles or locate people.

Step 2

Type the name of the person you are looking for. As you type your name, a menu will be displayed that asks you to choose if you want to search within Facebook or on the web. Facebook will give you a list of possible matches and you can choose the one you want to add. Click on “Add to my friends”.

Step 3

Expand your search using “Search profile.” If Facebook does not produce the desired results, you may have to refine the search to find the people you are looking for. Click on the “Search profile” option next to the search button. Once you’re on the page, select a different network from the drop-down list. Complete as many boxes as you know, as this will help Facebook find your friends.

Step 4

Look at the profiles of your friends after you have added them. You will have to wait for your friendship request to be confirmed so that you can see your full profile. Click on “Information”. Here you can see the basic, personal and professional information about your friend.

Step 5

Add more friends or search for people using the “Friend Finder” tool or by installing other applications. The “Friend Finder” tool will allow Facebook to import email addresses from your account and search for people so you can add them. In addition, you can install the “Locate friends” application, which is used to locate your friends on a map.

How to add someone to my limited profile Facebook list?

To help you keep your information private, Facebook allows you to create multiple friend lists and configure different privacy settings for each list. If you want someone to remain on your Facebook friends list but you do not want them to have access to all your information, add them to your limited list of friends. Maybe you can send messages and see your profile, but it does not have the same privileges as your regular friends.

Step 1

Log in to Facebook and click on “Friends” on the left side of your profile page.

Step 2

Click on “Manage friend lists” to see your different lists.

Step 3

Click on the name of the limited friends list you wish to edit on the left side of the page. When you click on the name of the list, all the members will appear on the page.

Step 4

Write the name of the friend you want to add to the limited list in the text box and then click on their profile when it appears under the box. Now it will be part of the limited list and will appear on that page with the other members of that list.
